Here is what Harald says about the Autumn/Winter 2509 BC:
"With this collection we take the leap all the way back to the ancient civilization of Sumeria in present day Iraq. This part of the world seems to be the great junction of the world, east meets west, past meets present and cultures blend together.
When the archaeologist comes to excavate, this appears even clearer.
When scratching the dirt of the reliefs in the ancient ruins, fashion certainly has an interesting scent. Not only do the elaborate carvings of Sumerians wearing sheepskin wraps stir up some genuine associations of modern fashion. But the local workers, with their excellent assemblages of old and new, worn and mended, traditionally cut garments and western influences, are worth and extra sniff.
The act of excavation also describes the colour concept for the collection. All the colours are elements in brown. Different water based, brown markers have been colour separated using litmus paper and water. Like an archaeologist sifts through layers and layers of grey earth and sand to find remnants from a pasy time, I have explored the depths of the seemingly uninteresting colour brown and found a hidden beauty."
