Henrik is 2 depressed 2 get dressed

Oh no, I think you know – 2depressed2getdressed is a bunch of laaaazy kidz (well, maybe not cyberpuppy, if she haven't fall down some stairs or something...). So what do we do? Invite guest-bloggers! First up is by my better half Henrik, who spent some days of his Christmas holiday in Berlin, and it sure looks like more fun than porn, ibux and Nord-Talje!

enjoy!

Introduction Bla Bla Bla…Nice city…bla bla.

Shopping!

Department store 206

Classy, posh and expensive. Marc Jacobs, Prada, Alexander McQueen, Jil Sander, Dior, Dries Van Noten, Stella McCartey. All the big names in one place. + Cds, art books and taxidermied butterflies.

What I really liked about this store was the interior. A lot of the clothes were really basic and dull, but the store is filled with old and eccentric furniture.

Why not enjoy a ridiculously expensive cup of coffee after you bought a ridiculously expensive dress?

also sold perfumes from cult fragrance company Etat Libre d'Orange
This one smells like cum (no, not really). Their bottles are decorated by cute pop-art. You can buy their perfumes and see more on their website, the scent “Jasmin & Cigarettes” and “Delicious Closet Queen” (haha, love the names) are my favourites.

A dead bug was the only thing I really wanted. 175 Euros.

Lil Shop

This was probably my favourite boutique since I love Comme des Garçons and Junya Watanabe. They sold all the different Comme des Garçons lines and vintage stuff from previous collections. And the people working there were really friendly and cool.

Cute wallets

Accessory tree

Ahhh…love the colors

Other Stuff

American Apparel is pretty big in Germany and has numerous stores in Berlin. Buy something lemon yellow, blueberry blue and the best underwear ever.

Bvulgari jewellery. It’s not too early to make Christmas wishes. 27.000 Euros.

Dressing room extravaganza:

From the left: Bag (notice the gun) from Vlieger & Vandam. Turtleneck by Jil Sander ( I was thrown out of the Jil Sander store because of taking pictures in the dressing room, I guess they could sense that I didn’t even have enough money for a pair of socks. I’m positive billionare son would be allowed to take pictures in the dressing rooms, but then again he could just buy everything and take pictures at home. If a billionare reads this: I’m up for adoption). Sweater from Comme des Garçons homme +. Jacket by Comme des Garçons by Watanabe

Art

Unknown artists at Martin Mertens gallery.

Janis Kounellis had the main exhibition at Neue Nationalgalerie. The gallery was a bit crowded and a bit touristy, but the architecture is interesting and its collection of art is worth a quick look.

The Helmut Newton Foundation Museum was a blast. The one of the two main exhibitions was “Private property” which consisted of private and unpublished pictures, his clothes, his bed room +++. Picture above of the “Newtonmobile”, a blue jeep owned by the car fanatic.

Sex-masks in silver, Dior shoes and guns. Different props Newton has used in some of his most famous shoots.

The second exhibition was a “three-man-show” consisting of pictures by Helmut Newton, Larry Clark and Ralph Gibson. These “three-man-shows” are regular at the museum, which once in a while invites two other nude photographers to exhibit their work. Don’t forget to visit the book store. Below: Gibson.

Speaking of sex, if you’re interested in a good gay sex bar (who isn’t?), Greifbar is the place to be. A friend, Henning Gärtner, took me there. He’s in Berlin writing a zombie novel based in Oslo so if you come across it in the future, check it out. Greifbar is wonderfully vulgar and gross. The floor in the dark room is covered in old paper tissues (with sperm I suppose) and you’re guaranteed at least one free drink if you’re barely legal. Faggy fun.

Ok, shopping, art and sex, I think that’s all Berlin has to offer. If you haven’t been there, go! If you have been there, go again. And since I’m still in Christmas spirit: here is the lovely Christmas decoration at Grand Hyatt Berlin, a tree made out of flowers with two peacocks:

kisses, Henrik

SICK AND TIRED (ready to get inspired)

All this layering with oversized hoodies and scarves that cost more than an average jacket…It’s too advanced for me. You got to get the colors right and make it look graphic…oh damn, just too much...when it’s cold and winter (and I’m having the flu), well, I only have willpower enough to get into like maximum one piece of cloth…So what to look for?

THE ULTIMATE OVERALL!

research-documentation from Siv Støldals "Trace"-collection

Ok, it’s not like I’ve searched all over the internet…I’ve just been sitting here, eating chocolate and drinking tea, going over the past Kim Jones-collections. I feel he’s been kinda forgotten these days. I mean, is there like any menswear out there that looks more comfortable? Don’t think so. And it’s all tailored classy, but in warm, soft fabrics…and on the right boys (with the right proportions) it looks oh so damn hot (that’s important too by the way…)

mmm, I guess this is made out of sheep-skin

Ok, this is not an overall, but still, look how boys can use the "belt-for-a-more-slim,-classy-look-trick"...
caps'n'sneakers all year'ound!
(can't believe I'm actually writing this...lol)

I don’t know about all these white ones…are they warm enough? It’s not sexy too fill them up with clothes inside, part of the point is that a body-part or a muscle suddenly is indicated…but if you didn’t know, air is isolating, so baggy clothes is definitely warmer than slim-fit.

But lol, here it is;
THE ULTIMATE OVERALL!

(I'll love you forever if you find a online-store where I can get this one on sale...)

stormy weather = treasure hunting in my old closets

The wind is so stroing right now, that it feels like the house will take off any minute! no way I'm going out today, so I guess it's time for some workshoping at my parents place instead.

I used the HM gift certificate that I got for xmas, on these black shoes with zippers, and I'm thinking they might be cool with this old stretchy-zipper-belt, that has belonged to my mom. I just have to size it down a few inches.

I also found a pair of dark green fake Dr.Martins in my closet. I want to paint them glossy bright pink or orange , just like the one at the picture below.

..or maybe I should paint them red instead, that's kind of classic. I'll see wich color paint I can find.

pictures from facehunter, it's a good look with the contrast shoes.

fresh whites - madam ice

this is a battle - not a joke

Electrorock: Ozone,.. you've been off the streets too long. gotten lazy.. you've lost your edge!
Ozone: you're the loser, punk! try me!

this is a battle scene from the movie breakin' 2. the movie sucks, but the fashion is great (I love the whole black leather/ hip hop look ) and so is the dance scenes. when you see me doing spastic moves on the dancefloor, this is what I'm trying to accomplish.. lol

oh Turbo is such a sweetie.. and I really want a pair of jogging pants like that.. only dark pink, just like the one I had when I was 5.

my space music

yeah. 2008 and i still use myspace. ehhh. make sure to check out the canyons myspace as they make sweet ass music, i love the song "more champagne" and their remix of blackstarrs shake it.

2008 is the year of the RAT and a few nights ago i dreamt that the spits played at this years ØYA festival dressed as big rats...ehhhhhh

LET THEM PLAY YOUR PARTY øya dudes??? pretty please

its a bling thing

ever since I heard about 'the memory stick' I've been in love with the idea of wearing it as a modern time locket 'round my neck. but instead of a lock of hair from your love, or a picture of your mom, you can fill it up with funky beats, your latest personality quiz results, pictures of MK Olsen, that dress that you really want, or a notepad filled with secrets..

oh well I sure arn't the first one having that idea , because it's all over the internet and they come in all kinds of shapes and colors. from the cute little sushi or doughnut ones to the wooden stick or the chunky swarovski crystals... and here's some of my fav us-bling! (boyfriend, take notes!)

mother-of-pearl coated USB from Transcend

personalized Swarovski rhinestone USB (*lol actually I put these up mostly because I wanted some color in the post.. they're actually quite ugly if you ask me..)

this crystal heart from Philips/Swarovski might be a bit heavy, but it sure is grand!

kind of graphic (and expensive!) by S.T. Dupont

ah bling-bling! I love the gold/silver i-Disk Vogue USB (especially in gold) from Pretec.

..and yeah why don't you start by filling your memory stick with some of these traxx?

fashion TV

L'trimm - cars with the boom

I think my fav look this winter is very much inspired by L'Trimm, (**sequins, black leather/latex, chunky gold, black velvet, big swarovski crystals and Cyberpuppys ethnic elephant cap.)

oh yeah the music is great too, be sure to check out Lady Tigra's new solo stuff as well if you haven't allready.

TOGA

is it too early for springcleaning yet? well, my computer desktop is in desperate need of one, and as a start I thought I'd upload some of the pixx that are taking up space on my computer. first out are these photos from the fall/winter 07 collection by TOGA

yes I 've said it before, but pink and red together are such a good combiation and the same goes for orange and pink. (this dress reminds me a bit of the vagina dresses that cyberpuppy posted earlier) I love the relaxed feel over this collection. and I really like those native inspired sweaters, and the contrast with the latex leggings!

I also like these dresses from the spring/summer 07 collection, ..even though the red "wrappingpaper" one, probably suits a long legged african model, more than it suits a pale 1.62cm tall redhead.. Together with her short hair and dark skintones (oh and that red lipstick!), this fabric and the shape of the dress, is truely amazing! **photos from totem fashion and parisfashionshows.net

I've got you under my skin

just wanted to share these little inspiration gems with the cyberworld. I rememer seeing some pictures of these stuffed animals (hah double meaning!) by Annette Messager, in some art-magazine maybe one year ago(?) I don't remember wich magazine.. but I've been trying to find some good photos on the internet of these works ever since (ok maybe only a couple of times, but still, it stuck to my mind) it's something both humoristic and disturbing with these images of stuffed animals wearing stuffed animals and it makes my mind associate freely between, adult/child, work vs. play, falconry, KKK, occultism, pro wrestling, carnival-clubbing, the movie Taxidermia and so on, for a good while..

..it has nothing to do with the above, but since I'm sleepless in Stavanger and feeling a bit nostalgic, I'll throw in some old tunes for the sake of memory lane.
